Today's Bike Month NYC events

This ladies only event is a "hands on" opportunity to learn more about bicycle repair and maintenance. Volunteers at all skill levels are welcome. You will help refurbish our parts and bikes.

Time's Up!'s free bike repair classes run on a four week schedule: 1st Tuesday-Basics for Beginners; 2nd Tuesday-Cables and Housing; 3rd Tuesday-Cups, Cones and Bearings; 4th Tuesday-Wheels and Spokes; 5th Tuesday (when applicable)-Open Workshop.

NYBC's 5th Annual Legislative Breakfast will bring cyclists together at the capital to discuss current legislation pertaining to bicyclists and pedestrians. Attendees will learn of current bills in the Senate in the Assembly and will have a chance to visit.

Leisurely ride 2 to 3 times around Central Park (6.4 mi. each loop). Afterwards, meet back at the Loeb Boathouse for a snack. Bring a good working bicycle with your tires inflated to the appropriate psi, a bicycle pump, one spare inner tube, water, a helmet (and wear it), and a smile. Rain at the start cancels the ride.
